Got it. Mine had the old style tilt-only system, single hydraulic line to each cylinder and they came out of the side of the transom shield, not the bottom.

The original tilt/trim lines on the 120 1A came out thru the gimbal with the manifold inside the gimbal and hard to replace lines.
I had a line fail a few years ago and could not get a replacement.
I cut the hole & mounted the manifold from the 140 gimbal as a temp repair until I got around to the conversion.

Jim, I share your pain. In past years, I have slipped on ice and landed full force one time on the left shoulder and one time on the right. Both times it took about one year or longer for healing and full movement. Add to that a boil that had to be cut out and repacked daily, and a back stain from shoveling snow. These happened years ago but the memory of them is still fresh.

Now I wear add-on spikes on the shoes while winter walking for exercise.

Update!

I finally pulled the 140 donor out of storage.
I lucked out because the transom bolt pattern is the same; I won't have to drill new holes.
I'm still waiting for spring to arrive in Minnesota so I can get back to tearing out the rest of the bad wood.

Update,

Hopefully the weather will cooperate this week and I can start sanding, outside.
All the bad wood is out now but lots of prep before glassing.

Don't remind me, I still get a little catch in my back after crawling out of the boat  :'(

If I had any time to help I'd be there. We've got a senior graduating this year though so I won't be doing much of anything until Rathbun (if I can make that work!)

I've been getting a little grinding done now that it's outside.
I'm going to keep the "I owe you's" for the glassing.

Jim.  I have 4 x 3 sheet of the thick fiberglass and a 8 x 3 sheet of the thinner fiberglass.
Might be enough to do your transom.
Also some scraps in the bag ...

yeah ... oh, the resin.  Seemed every other day I was ordering 2 more gallons from Express Composites.  Get it done before the heat sets in, though.  I had about 8-10 minutes pot life on the stuff.

I have been buying 5 gal at a time just because it is so much cheaper.
I think this has become an addiction.

  ** UPDATE **

I have most of the grinding done & the transom cut & fit.
Thanks to Gregg, I have enough glass to do everything & maybe won't have to buy anymore resin.
Scott has offered his leftover resin & that might be enough.
I still need to buy one 4x8 sheet of 1/2" for the floor.

Sorry no pics, me & cameras don't get along.
