Title: starting the deck
Post by: melinprov on July 21, 2018, 06:19:36 PM
so I have gotten to the point of cutting the new deck for my V 179. I have modified the drainage and put in the stringers and cleats--has anyone ever put the deck over the old lip left behind from the older deck? seems like it would fit just right from my preliminary measurements---or I could cut the lip off. If I support the bottom I think it should work? any thoughts?

My floor fit into pocket formed by the chime …
Like a little ledge for floor wood to sit in.

I still have to secure it down and glass it---but that went faster than I thought it would. I plan on using fiberglass PB to glue it down

the deck is 98% done now-next foaming and putting the gas tank back in ( after checking and cleaning it ) and then the cap goes back on
