This is the lake that we go to most often because it is less than a mile from our house. As with the other Army Corps lakes there is a $3 boat ramp pass unless you put in at Cordova Park which is a county park and free. Cordova does not have a dock though, only a ramp, so logistics with passengers can sometimes be an issue. This lake can get rough on windy days, and is normally not very busy because it is not very commercialized. Some of the "fingers" do get a little shallow.

EDIT: there is also a nice free ramp with a dock at Elk Rock State Park, that is free because it is a State Park. It does have a gravel drive though, so expect your boat and trailer to get some dust driving around.

Hey Iowa folks!

I know I am reviving an old thread. Maybe I will change my handle to Lazarus19.  ;D

Does anybody have experience on this lake? It looks beautiful.

FYI we might be able to get out on this lake this weekend, coming down route 14 from the northern part of the state.

Tips on where to put in, how to get to the good scenery on the lake etc would be appreciated!
