Not sure if this is legal but, came across this add on c-list,
might be able to work out a deal.

I believe there has been a couple of members that has looked at it, needs new transom for sure cannot remember what else it needs.
-
The entire boat with trailer would be a fair deal at $3500.00, but just the engine and drive, even if complete, is too much. Makinwaves had the exact same model of engine and drive and couldn't give the entire set up away for $1500.00. Not sure where you see a legal issue, nothing illegal about parting out a boat.

If that's the one Jim and I looked at in Hugo last spring, It need stringers motor mounts floor the whole deal.
And the outside is rough

He's referring to it being a legit sale, not a scam, etc.

In that case, most of CL is suspect. I have plenty of stories to tell about CL adventures.

Replacing a floor / stringers / transom in a 16 to 18 foot boat isn't that bad (Ya right) a CV23 is huge !
Look over Shawn's "Glastron Carlson CV-23 Rebuild Top to Bottom" thread.
Posting stuff "For Sale" here is fine.
I do search's almost daily and still don't find them all.

Yes, Gregg is the winner. I wasn't sure if posting this here was against the site rules or not.
I visit other sites where this is forbidden.
And yes, this guys prices seem very high but you never know.

Too much $$ for the work needed. It sounds like it's been left outside (neglected) The interior is probably toast too. I personally would not pay more then 1200.00 for it and only if the motor, drive and trailer were good.

I agree, keep looking! And don't stop till you find a better one. The only value is in the motor, outdrive, trailer. 23's are a lot of work to rebuild.. Just ask Shawn.
