operation back on water
« on: August 10, 2010, 08:32:00 PM »
alright after many searches i could not find the gaskets anywhere soooo i bought some ultra copper sealant and made my own. Know i just need my intake gasket to come in. those are supposed to be here. Here is the question if it doesn't work what can happen i think it will be fine i took Richs adviced lets hope it works. At Tanners powersports they thought the steam out the breather might be that the theromstat is a 140 he thought i should put in a 160 any thoughts.

Thanks again hope to see you guys next saturday.

Oh by the way if the boat wont go i have rights to use a bayliner if thats the case can i still come

Hi Tom,  lot's of the motors have a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV Valve) in the valve covers that suck the vapor / blow-by through the intake,  if your's don't have that valve you will see a little vapor, I see it on mine and the motor only has 5 hours on it.  I think it's normal,  when you run a high compression motor cool, thats just my opinion.
