I don't want to hijack Jeffs thread anymore. I saw that green too Brian. Looks like it might be too dark but may be a good canidate. I am going to look for the closet to original as possible. I'll have to get a sample of that stuff.

Looking good Jeff. Are you replacing manifolds and risers too or can you still use those? No, I'm not hinting cuz I need some.  :D

Anxious to see how you do the exhaust but I imagine that will be a bit later.

Ross

Stringer, floor and new boxes in back are all in and painted.

Ready to test fit the motor and drill some hole in the tramsom.

Should get to the exhaust in between Christmas and New Years as I am off work that week.

And if there is Christmas goodies under the tree will have to do something with them.

Carpet sometime in Feb.

Jeff, you are going to completely transform that boat from top to bottom, from inside to outside. But both you and old Red are good at leading us on by not reveiling the whole picture at once, with sentences like  "And if there is Christmas goodies under the tree will have to do something with them" LOL

You're fast! Nice work! Looks awesome.
Looks to be a bit late but I came across this set up where you could retain the thru prop and have thru hull exhaust if one wanted to. I guess its inteneded more for someone not pulling the motor.

Did you fill those new boxes with foam then?

Jeff -  Nice work! Floor looks great. I like how your port & starboard stern boxes turned out. Really opens up the back for storage and engine access. Now lets see a picture w/thu-hull sticking out the transom! ;D

Ross - The only way to make that triple exhaust pipe work on a CVX18 is to run the exhaust above the rub rail.  A lot of us CVX18 owners won't do that to our boats.

Jeff's boat should really fly this summer. I remember there was time when I could almost stick w/him. Not anymore! ;D

Looking good Jeff. How long before the motor goes in? I can't wait to see that exhaust. Now you got me thinking if I should pull those box out of mine. There was quite a bit of water that was coming in there, between the hull and deck,
when I got the boat. The top of the boxes are not in great shape so I am guessing there is water down in there. Was there alot of water in yours when you pulled them out?

Shaun, been trying to post more pics camera and comp are not working together

The motor and exhaust are in the S pipes worked out as planned made for the application.

Carpet is all in need to finnish up back area around the engine

The flotation box foam weighed approx 100lbs water soaked, they built the boxes installed them then drilled holes on top put in the expanding foam then carpet.  Did not bother to plug the holes after filling.  Now would the time to remove them.  While you are at it a 350 could easily replace your 305 at the same time.

Hope to get pics up soon

Jeff
