Good to see some photos of the open bow version.

I know I'm the only one (or of the few), but I love the new boat.  Its a future classic.

Can't tell if the $30k is a early bird markup or not...until Glastron gets their 2012 pricing up, that is...

Retro Glastron GT 160 with 115hp - $22000 (Commerce Twp
http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/boa/2671772024.html

Glastron GT 160. This boat is an absolute blast to drive. You will leave the boat with a smile on your face. This is an open bow, and is powered by a Evinrude 115hp Etec. This boat looks vintage but has all the amenities of modern boats. It comes with a Ski Pylon, Stereo, and Bunk Trailer. Boat gets up on plane very fast and is great for watersports. Dunno I still don't like it. Retro schmetro. Looks like a white, and black, blob to me. Bow "seating" arrangement is ludicrous. And it's slow ...?

Needs a 150 HP motor ...
41 knots = about 47 - 48 mph

40 years from now it will be listed on Craigslist as the boat that made the jump in the James Bond film ... LOL
Cool boat ... Thanks for the heads up Rich ...

The ugly brown interior needs to go. I like my GT160 better. (Sea trials spring 2012)

Yeah, I grudgingly agree, she looks purty good in black ...?

edit: The "Black Edition" sticker's purty tacky though, imo.

GT160's from the Mpls Boat Show.

I do not like black for boats or cars - too depressing.

Thanks Gregg, my thoughts exactly.

With Jerry G. and Doug C breathing down my neck for top speed, I may need this black.

That motor would sink your boat !

Futura V-153
Approx. Weight  630lbs.
BIA Cap.  5 or 1335lbs

Mercury 300 Pro FourStroke
Dry Weight  635lbs

You want this one ...
I think I want that one too !
...LOL

Dry Weight  375lbs

Or maybe this one ...
Dry Weight  431lbs

But your new one ( 1988 115 HP ) looks the best !

Com'on guys!  That boat in all black is Night Rider on the water!  All we need is to change the bow led's to Red, install Kitt, and get the Hoff & his leather jacket!  Glastron's back on the small screen!

LOL!!!

(It would require a lot of post water wiping though...)

Everything is relative. Growing up in a poor family, we rented row boats for fishing on nearby lakes. Then my dad splurged and bought a new 3.6 HP Scott Atwater in 1954 for $90. I was in heaven - no more work rowing and boy did that motor make the boat go fast.
