Anyone need a Mercruiser Thunderbolt IV Distributor?
« on: January 08, 2012, 12:11:35 AM »
I purchased a used Mercruiser Thunderbolt IV Distributor for Goldie's engine rebuild, but never used it.

Anyone need one?  I paid $75.00 for it, and I'd like to get that back (or close) before throwing it out to ebay.

This is sad...I didn't even know it needed a electronic box...no, this is all I have.  I'm assuming I overpaid?

Those distributors do not have a spark advance mechanism inside so therefore need the separate electronic ignition control unit to handle spark advance and timing control. I don't think you paid too much for it, the sensor alone inside costs new at least what you paid for the whole thing.
