Speedo pick up
« on: January 18, 2012, 10:52:05 AM »
Anyone needing to replace their speedo pick up should look at this one.

Just ordered one for myself and my brother installed two on his ski boat this weekend. I checked his out over New Year's weekend and they are very well built. Sturdy with stainless fittings and a spring instead of the kick up notch the cheaper ones have. It takes a bit more force to kick it up but is very well built.

Check it out with the link below.

You're welcome.  You will be pleased when you feel the weight and build of this thing.  Customer service is great. A guy called me to confirm my shipping address (shipping to work) and stated I could save a $1.50 and use priority mail instead of UPS. Works for me. May get it Friday but more than likely Monday.

It looks good. Too bad I bought 2 of the other kind in the last year or so and installed them.  :(

Order one of these and just replace the one you have. Easy and cheap. Mine should be in tomorrow. A quick project this weekend and then I'm heading to the river for a 20 mile run (round trip) to either the Mexican or seafood restaurant. I'll see what I'm in the mood for when I get on the water. Supposed to be in the mid 70's this weekend.

I am getting a GPS speedometer. At the speeds I will be traveling with the 88' 115 HP Merc, the pick-up tube will be kicking up out of the water, the boat will be airborne half the time, and the pick-up tube will be slowing me down a fraction of a MPH. All good reasons for getting a $500 GPS speedometer. LOL

The logo on the back of my boat: Either Own a Glastron V-153 or Follow One. LOL
