Ready for Vacation.
« on: February 07, 2012, 08:15:46 PM »
Hey, Just thought I would post letting everyone one know what is going on in my life. I have not been on too much here do to being pretty busy with things. And I must admit during the winter I tend to work on other hobbies besides my Carlson. But There is still work to be done on that before the season starts. So Once I start those projects you will see me on again more.

Anyhow, back to filling you guys in. A few months ago I asked my Girl friend to marry me ( she said yes! Not sure why ??? ) We will not being getting married till June 2013. I have been in search for a house ever sense, And found one ;D. Settlement is end of this month. So things have been kinda busy with planning and such.  Also I want to share that my fiance asked me if for our One year anniversary. If i wanted to attend the Meet that is held every year in Minnesota.  :) I'm sure you know what my answer was for that... 8)

Congratulations!  Sounds like she's a keeper.
I'm thankful every day that my wife said yes when I asked the question ... she and I joke that she's wearing my boat on her ring finger ... and she's bought me my GT 150 for Father's Day last year.  These are the one's you really want to hang on to.

Congrats on the house and engagement, buddy! It'll feel amazing once you settle on the house and move in, and it's really cool that you'll be going through that process with your new fiance. I'm actually in the same boat as you: Aimee and I just got engaged in December! Our wedding is set for this coming September, so we're already buried in the time-consuming, stress-inducing joy that is "wedding planning."  ;D

Glad you two can make it in August  8)  Your future wife won't be disappointed!

Hey guys thanks a lot from both Aimee and myself!! We sincerely appreciate it! Considering her genuine interest in boats, cars and big boy toys in general, I had to make sure and put a ring on Aimee's finger asap before she wised up and bailed ;D

And yeah, the ol' engagement/pending wedding is one of the biggest reasons I've been MIA lately...I've logged quite a few hours on the GTX too, which is coming together nicely! Spring can't get here soon enough...although this winter has been insanely nice.

Jeff: please find it in your heart to forgive my absence - I'll be talking to ya soon buddy 8)

Shrom, seriously? I missed this thread? and I have to find out about these things on a forum based half way across the country?  ;)

anyway, I think she's a great girl, and the two of you are lucky to have each other, congrats!

now, do like Dorelse said, and drag me along!  ;D not literally, I don't really wanna be a third wheel honeymooner! BUT, maybe we make a road trip of it... I wanted to rent a motorhome and make the trip last year but had too many obligations. maybe this year Jen and I, and you and the "wife" could start a convoy out to MN for the meet. eh? EH?

Sorry Wex, And thanks she is special too me.. Lets not get curried away here on the planning. We not getting married till June of next year 2013..and the trip to MN is thought to be a 1 year anniversary. lol the honeymoon we are going to the finger lakes  :) So most likely between now and then I wont be making it to that meet. Buying this house I'm sure will keep me busy/keep me working to be able to fund it. But Once Morgan and I get married and she has a job it will be smooth sailing hopefully and will allow us to do some trips.
