Mystery boat
« on: May 17, 2012, 12:08:48 AM »
Going to haul my boat to Austin for the upcoming holiday weekend and figured I'd look around at some Glastrons for sale over there. Came across this ad and it has me a bit puzzled.

Did they ever make a V-drive? I can't find a 1975 CVX but it sure looks like a Carlson.

The CVX-20 was introduced as a new model for 1976. I would expect that Glastron was running prototypes and experimenting with different drives. Glastron ran some V drive race boats in the 60s. I have never seen any literature that mentions a V drive CVX, but I think it could be possible that there was some around. Its harder to believe that any got out to the public.

Velly intelesting ... Sure looks like a Carlson to me too. Way cool! Wish I had an extra 6K layin around. Well, that and a truck that'd pull it ...?
