That looks exactly like the trailer that I just put under my 18.
I think this has become an addiction.

I like the trailer... tows great.  I do wish it was 6 inches narrower though so it'd fit through the 3rd stall garage door!

Anyone want to trade?

(I know,  I'm all over the place on saying its original to the boat, then saying I'd trade...lol... but it was so nice to be able to back it in its own stall!  I miss that!)

Some times it just easier to go buy a new one ...
But not cheaper !

Color look great ... you could also do some yellow pin striping ...

New would be nice!  But yeah, pricey.

Its tough to give up a trailer that successfully hauled the boat around a few thousand miles.

This is that 'Hammered' finish, so its 'bumpy' paint to hide imperfections...so I don't think I'll be able to pinstripe it and have it still look good.

We'll see.

well doran, you could do the frame in the copper and the fenders in the yellow. Trying to picture that in my head, I think it would look good ???

Have you used hammered finish paint before? I used the silver color to repaint my mom's cemetery flower urn. Kind of tricky to get a uniform "hammered look". I never used it before, so maybe it was my inexperience.

I think Mark is in the Atlanta area.

The hammered paint has to go on kinda thick.  I've done big diamond plate steel with a hammered paint before.  On a trailer, you might spray two surfaces at once - hold the can parallel to the length of steel and sweep side-to-side so you get the top and outside in one pass, then do the bottom and inside on the next.  The overspray can make you lose some of the hammered look.

If you didn't get wet, you didn't have fun ~ WetRaider

I used rustoleum paint on my trailer, but not the hammered finished. I do suggest using their stops rust primer since there will be fresh welds first.

Trailer is all stripped.   Weld looks a bit shotty?  And... how do I get these rollers off?

I agree with WetRaider. You have to spray it on thick which then creates the hammered look. Spraying with light coats (as a person would normally do with spray paint) won't work.

It looks like the pin (shaft) could be driven up from the bottom Doran?  It doesn't look like the bottom is "mushroomed over) like the top is.  I'd soak it with PB Blaster regularly for a few days before trying it though.

Are you going to sand blast the trailer first or just paint over what is there. If you do paint over it will show again in a year or so more than likely
