Trim tab replacement
« on: July 26, 2012, 10:41:58 PM »
Going to repaint the out drive this weekend, so I am replacing all the anodes. For the trim tab I am wondering what style would be best, either the extended 3" or the shortened 1.5"?

I would keep whatever came on the boat. Does your boat track straight now, or pull to one side?

I would but one of my new props I purchased does not clear the original, and it does tend to go right.

The props I have purchased are a 4 blade 18p quicksilver aluminum, and a 21p laser II. got them cheap so I thought I would buy them.

I have a 20 pitch Laser II that is new.  It is for an outboard, I own a I/O.  I guess the hub is a bit smaller in diameter on the even pitches and bigger hub diameter on the 17,19,21,23.   That is what Jeff explained to me.  The prop is for sale or trade for a 21 pitch something.   tom stibbe
