Just wondering if the club is going to have a booth at the MLPS boat show in 2013? Saw the CGOAMN on the vendor list for the show so just wanting to confirm.

it was there a couple of weeks ago when i checked. Maybe it was an old list when i checked.

I noticed the club on the exhibitor list last month also, but checking last night, I noticed too that the club's name is no longer on that list.

On a semi-related note, I noticed after checking that list, that the photobucket pictures from this past event seem to have disappeared also - do they time out or something in photobucket? I noticed the link that used to work is still on the club's main website.

Links don't time out on our site, no.

In the past, I've had issues with both Photobucket & Picasa changing the links to photos when they move things around on their servers...so many times, the links are broken by the hosting site.

I figured that it was the host site (photobucket) that goofed up the link since I had the same link bookmarked on my computer.

When I did a search on photobucket for "CGOAMN", only 17 pictures came back - none from the event as far as I could tell.

I didn't remember what the photobucket policies were (I shouldn't admit that I might not have read them), so just wondered if they either timed out or lost them. Sounds like they lost them - I expected just a temporary oversight on photobucket's part.

Kind of an eerie coincidence if you think about it though (especially close to Halloween) - being erased from the boat show list and also photobucket - remember the old Sandra Bullock movie "The Net"?

Just checked meet threads and the only ones missing are the pictures uploaded to the site.
When forum software was updated most of theses pictures were lost, some can still be "clicked on" and saved to your computer, then viewed ...
Some are lost forever, unless person that posted them still has them ...

I was able to save 3 of the 4 Mark posted in his "Steering wheel insert" for sale thread ...
The 2010 Red Wing meet thread locked up my browser twice ...
Is that the one your speaking of ?

No, nothing to do with our forum or club pages except the listed link to photobucket which is the same one I had bookmarked in my browser separately: http://www.photobucket.com/CGOAMN_2012

The pictures appear to be missing from photobucket itself. I do notice that the URL redirects and comes up as beta.photobucket.com when clicked on - so that might be a pretty good clue that photobucket "engineers" are "at work".

But no, it's nothing with the CGOAMN forum or club website itself that's a problem - it's all photobucket's issue as near as I can tell.

Me too. Recently when I went to Photobucket they had a pop-up about their "new" site, did I want to "upgrade" now? I selected NO, maybe that has something to do with it Jim?

Well now that's troubleshooting - thank you! After so many years in this IT field, even I never gave it a thought to try it in a different browser...I should know better...been working with websites too long to not try that first. It just wasn't giving me any of the typical indications on my end that there was a problem with Firefox.

As soon as you said it worked for you, I tried it in the old IE and it opened no problem. Now I just need to figure out why my Firefox browser goes all goofy (for just photobucket??). Oh well...I've seen weirder things.

Thanks again, I'm glad there was nothing wrong any where else but here!

I've pretty much given up on Firefox for the same reasons. Chrome does almost everything I need.

I work in IT as well and yes, it's usually something small, goofy and right in front of your nose!

IE has fits uploading to Photobucket.
I've been using Chrome with the GCOTD posts, and no problems and fast uploads.

I use Safari and never have issues with Photobucket.
