You're right about that Jerry, I quess thats one reason I my heart goe's out to those rescue workers.
I was in aircraft crash rescue for 15 years, I know a little about what it is to face the unexpected, but nothing like what these crews are going through.
Now, the weather teams are predicting heavy thunder storms later on tonite and through tomorrow morning, main threat is hail, but they say the tornado risk is low. More storms are developing south central Oklahoma, tracking north east, thru smaller towns, I've never seen so many storms as we are experiencing here now, for several days.
for a lot of years this is the kind of thing I could jump right in and help with, but those days are behind me.  We are going to donate what we can tomorrow, we can take donations to the tv news station KFOR tv local channel 4,  not far from my house,  I think we will take a few cases of bottle water for the rescue workers, the tornado also took out the water treatment plant there, and sewage plant, the officials are telling everyone not to drink the water there. here's a pic of one of the boats, can't tell what it is.

I don't mean to ramble on about this disaster here in Moore, Ok. but living near there, and watching a tornado go over the lake near my house two days ago, I feel so fortunate that my property is still standing and my family and most of our friends are safe.

I want to place this link for anybody out there to place a donation to the rescue and recovery efforts going on there in Moore right now, I talked to the news station near my house, link  KFOR.com/help
and they said the best way to donate to this tragety is through the Red Cross  link
http://mcclaincounty.kfor.com/news/news/122831-how-help-okla-tornado-victims-shelter-info

I went to Home Depot to get gloves and water to take to the station, the big isle boxes were already empty, and the shelves where the gloves were are almost gone, I got a sack full of work gloves and a few cases of bottled water, and what an experience when I got to the station, there was a line of vehicles several hundred yards long at the station donating all kinds of stuff to take out to the site in trucks, most everyone handing over their donations to the KFOR new staff had tears in their eye's and could hardly talk to the staff, including me.
Last night there wer over 100 people found alive, and rescued by with heat seeking technology equipment that the air force brought out. The oklahoma Baptist convention has a truck on its way there this morning that can feed 20,000 people a day, Willy Nelson has challanged people just to donate $10 through the red cross, Chesapeak Energy here in Okc, has donated $1,000,000 to the cause.  Chesapeake also helps fund the boating events on the oklahoma river here.  The thunder storms just missed the rescue site last night and this morning, just some lite rain, but more storms are building south west of there today.

No need to apologize Red...
hearing about a tragedy on the news is one thing, but a personal connection leads people to pray harder and help more.

Thanks for the link Red. I know some people in the Air Force out there. My brother is still trying to reach a few of his Air Force friends that lived in Moore. Hope you guys stay safe out there today, the weather still looks like it has potential for more trouble.

Hey Guy's
This one looked like it was on the path for our place, so I hooked the scimitar up to the van and drove north about 30 miles till we got into clear sky's, we got out of here just as the hail was starting, probably pea size to little marbles, the tornado made a sharp turn to the east so it missed our place 5 or 6 miles, and Barb's place is alright also.
There was Heavy damage on the south and west side of Okc, several deaths, momma and baby, so sad, lots of power lines down, 168,000 customers out of power they said just now, we just got back home, neighbors said we had quarter size hail, all the streets around my house flooded, east and west streets closed, I sneaked in thru the back way :)
The tent is still standing, don't think it has any holes in it, some limbs down on our street, lot's of cars flooded out and abandoned ?
So ... we dodged another one.
when we got the warning of the hail, I slipped a bunch of thick cardboard under the cover of my boat, but when they said the hail was as big as base balls, we got out of here.
