Great idea using the dust collector. Testing the cupholders is crucial!!

Yeah we're getting there
Center stringers rotten up to the bulkhead for the cuddy I am going no further forward
Motor mount stringers were bad up to the bulkhead in the front of the tank, outside stringers are solid.
I just got done taking the transom out, honestly I have never shoveled A transom out of A boat before

Menards 11% off through yesterday, picked up seven sheets of marine plywood.

And yes Jerry I know I wasted $250
But I've used both and will pay the premium every time.
I should be done with the major grinding today.

Marine ply ...
What next ...  Epoxy ?

So transom was so wet / rotted, you could rip it out by hand ?

I have compared Marine ply to exterior grade and found there is a definite difference, not only in the number of plies laminated but in the harness of the wood, marine is harder and stronger. I use nothing but marine ply when I do this kind of work.

Yep, it's straight and smooth, and you can screw into the edge of it without it splitting.
I guess I was sold on it when we put a new floor are in our 15-year-old pontoon, basically the carpet in that thing is always wet and the plywood that we took off the floor with the exception of one small piece in the corner was still sold.

Ah yes the infamous Glastron: mud plate.
I don't remember dealing with this on the 1900, ground the one out on the GT afterwards decided I should have left it
Anyways, several pieces of this one came with the Rottenwood I wondered if I could just Patch it then I noticed that the water had seeped into all the little cracks, I chiseled about 75% of it off.

I'd sand down to glass before glassing  the new transom in.  Leaving any old voids leaves channels for water intrusion.  I'm confidant you will make quality repairs and given your ambition, and current rate of progress, you may have it at TI.

Yes, planning and grinding it all out, I got tired of having to deal with changing the shirt on my dust collector so this is rev 2.0
Now I can just turn it off and shake the dust off the shirt
