Looks like one way to do it.  I'm assuming the photographer was also the eyes in the boat as it was pulled out.  Your skid steer looks identical to my old hydramac 8A, same controls and chain tensioners.  Was a good machine, onan engine, had to upgrade to obtain aux hydraulic.

Yes...the photographer was me… Trying to use hand signals to direct him where to go (ok, not THAT hand signal, lol). And hollering "I don't think this is going to fit thru that opening!"  <crunch> it's out! Lol.

33 Years of marriage and the two of you worked together to pull the engine out of the new project boat, well if that don't make you soul mates, I'm not sure what does!

By the sounds of it, this is going to be a comparatively light restore right?  Transom and engine mounts?  Engine runs?

Well...
Hoping for the best
I know the transom and motor mounts need to be replaced, the stringers in the engine compartment seem to be solid.
The floor is a new half-inch floor over an old three-quarter inch floor, both rotten, so we will see how that all pans out.
Motor runs, drive and components all seem solid. Although I'm sure we're going to end up replacing the gimbal bearing bellows and prob the coupler.
If I can at all avoid  taking this motor back out it would be good.

I'm usually Mike's spotter saying the same things.

Good luck on the resto.  Hopefully the rotten doesn't go too far.

Remove two layers of rotten floor tonight
Most of the foam was dry

Lots of the foam was chewed up by rodents.
Stringers are All solid

Your making amazing progress, I'm hoping you got it torn down to the solid remains and can start corrections and reassembly.  At this rate you may have it done for TI.

Not certain what others would do in that scenario, but personally, if it's that rotten half way up, I would replace it all.  As you said earlier, you only want to pull the motor once.  Did you mention the stringers were solid?

After spending days cutting out a 90 percent dry / solid transom ...  That looks like it shouldn't be to bad to remove !
Shouldn't there have been cuss word's in the video ?
