1978 CVZ-18 For Sale
« on: June 18, 2013, 11:31:04 PM »
Ok, here's the deal.

There are one or 2 boats that I'd give up the CVZ for, and one of those has come available.  Not commenting on what that boat is just yet, let's just say, I won't be kicked out of the club.

I will not have 2 boats, I am 100% sticking to that rule, so my CVZ is officially for sale.  If the other boat sells before Goldie, then Goldie is back off the market.  And I'll be blissfully unconflicted again (and sleeping better).

I'm very torn about selling her after 3 years of work, but if it sells it sells, if it doesn't, it doesn't.

The bow cover does not come with the boat, that is non-negotiable, sorry.

The boat, cosmetically, is not perfect, I consider it a boat to have fun with and enjoy.  Every system has been gone through, and mechanically, its sound and ready to go.  This is the first summer I'm finally not scrambling to get the boat ready for our trip to Park Rapids.  Its gas & go.

Trailer refurb'd last summer, newer tires, pulls straight and is the original trailer to the boat.

I think everyone's seen the restore threads, so I'll save everyone all the details.  I'd like to have it for our trip to Park Rapids, MN, but if someone wants it sooner, we can talk.

$4500 Cash

whaaaaa?

Good luck to you, Doran.  Just curious - what will you do with the bow cover and no boat to put it on?  Something to hang on to for the future, in case you need it then?

Cover will be molded and copies sold for everyone.

That's probably gonna happen this fall whether or not Goldie sells.

Its the only boat I'd swap for Goldie...and only that year/color.  Otherwise, I have a great boat that I'm very happy with.

Rare color ... first one I've seen "For Sale".
Kind of a mini CVZ19 ...
What about the outboard ?
Will you sell it to Dan and get a 4 stroke ?
Will you tell Mom that Evinrude 115 HO ETEC's don't smell ?
Has he sent you pictures of it ?

I like the way this is going ...
I've never even seen one, cept' in pictures ...
Can I have a ride in it ?

Well,  the Prince of Nigeria did make an offer today!   But,  unless someone who has real money shows up,  I'm still in the CVZ camp... kids are not happy!

Pretty sure the GX is an outboard Doran ...
You could ask the seller just to be sure though ...

Seating might work better with this boat, but I think it's also an outboard ...

My V-156 on the Karavan trailer was about 21 feet from prop to hitch, CV's on same trailer but has a swing hitch so it's about 19 1/2 feet.
