Awesome! that is the place to be. I bet the Croix was busy today! Glad to see you survived. Hopefully your ride back is a little smoother.

St croix seemed clean
Mn was great, no traffic, did not seem like too much debris but I don't have much to compare it to

Nice to see you getting some serious use out of that 150 and stopping to do fun things too. Pretty good weekend to be on the water.

the return trip to bayport was nothing less than AWESOME !!!
wind died down, only a few boats left on the water...
i guess everyone else had to work earlier than me ;)
it was about 9:05 when we got loaded, end to a perfect day on the water.

The St.Croix is "Hands down the most beautiful river in the metro" , sandy beaches, beautiful scenery, clean water ....
It's just the weekend traffic ...

that sounds like fun...
is there a decent launch further north ?
"Laure prefers a launch that has a dock and a toilet"
bayport city launch did not appear to have either, and $10 to park...

Sounds like a good time Joe. Any numbers to report?

Finally eliminated the weak spark/miss in my #4 cyl by changing out the stator Sat afternoon. Ran like a raped ape but couldn't beat my best. Managed to dodge most of the rain yesterday. We been gettin it virtually everyday for the past few weeks, but I guess it's that time of year.

i did not look at the gps, but by the speedo going up stream i only hit 41, and could consistently hit 43 before i "fixed" the prop...
but my pickup was plugged from when i was on the Minnesota river Friday so speedo may be off.
im not really gonna fret too much about top speed till i get power trim :/

Great launch at St. Croix Bluffs on the Minnesota side of the St. Croix River. Parking for trailers is a problem on the weekends. $25 for a season pass, the Washington County Regional Park system.

Joe, there is a free ramp with toilet just north of Stillwater. Hwy 95 and north of 96 about 2-3 city blocks. I've seen a dock too. I think it fills up pretty fast so you either have to get there early or hit it when the fisherman leave. I've driven past it for years. Evening generally don't seem too bad there.

I don't think there is a ramp on the St. Croix that does not fill up on the weekends. Need to get out by 9AM if you want a place to park.

Sure!

Have you gone north of Hudson/Bayport yet? I would launch in Hudson then head north. I'll have the CV16SS.

Looks like it will be Hot! Hopefully not too windy though.

I could meet as early as 5:30.
