Most of the newer outboards are getting too odd looking for me. That one looks like its sporting a Mohawk.

I'm tellin ya Rich it was not an easy motor to pattern. Sewing it was even tougher. Best analogy I can come up with is it was like tryin to sew up a hoodie for an alien? The outer space kinda alien I mean ... No offense!

Ya "Crest" is more like it. I call em 'terminator' motors. All those wangs & thangs? Just plain silly if'n y'ask me. I doubt they have any marked effect on performance. Just there to be more stylish.

I have a good pattern for the smaller 150, etc cowl. But this big pig was a whole new ball game.
