Refinsihed EMI Thunder Manifolds

When I got the set of used EMI Thunder manifolds they were in pretty rough shape visually. I wasn't happy with how they cleaned up so I decided to redo them seeing everything else on the motor is going to look pristine. The route I took was metallic blue hi-temp caliper paint and hi-temp clear. Being a devoted Florida Gator, I went with the blue because it will go perfectly with the White/Orange Flake with Blue Flake accent stripe on the exterior and the Chevrolet Orange on the engine block and cylinder heads. It may have come out of a rattle can but not sure you would know by looking at the final product. Sprayed the base and let them sit for a few days, sprayed three coats of clear and let them sit for the last week to cure. No wet sanding at all, just 3M swirl remover by hand and here they are.

Looks great, and conveniently, that is almost a dead on match to Mercury Racing blue.

And pretty close to Florida Gator Blue!! LOL. I am very pleased for a $25 total cost.
