Joe, give us a report of the prop description and your speeds.

I hope to test the SRX prop vs. the Raker before winter at secret testing lake WBL.

How far is that up the St. Croix from the Mississippi? I really want to see that!

Maybe 30 miles north from Prescott (Mississippi).

Looks like a decent day! I bet it was a little windy on those wider stretches.

Yes...
Blowin pretty good.
And though prop testing did not work out so well, secrete beer testing was a success :)
Also found a sand bar :/ did not actually get stuck but it was a close call.

Two years ago in the fall of the year Jeff and I found a sand bar North of Stillwater that one would not suspect of being there. Luckily the St. Croix is mainly sand - sandblasts the lower unit and prop.

That is a really tricky area. You pretty much need to follow the state boarder shown on your map. This time of year when the water is low you are lucky to have 5' in the main part of the channel. I got nervous when you mentioned you were doing prop testing up that way. A lot of busted props came out of that area. Once you get past the wide part here it's pretty straight forward.

Yeah, I wasn't planning on going up there with an new prop, or any good prop for that matter.
I put out an old beater aluminum 17 pitch for the trip north of Stillwater, and after the sandbar incident Laurie navigated me with her phone basically right on the line and that worked real well 5 to 6 feet deep all the way up to the railroad bridge.
