Love the sign. Will you be posting it at the boat ramp when you launch?

Gregg, you need a signpost beside your driveway that says "Glastron/Carlson Drive".

I have seen that with "Bel Air Drive"

Have you been snooping in my garage?  That '57 Chevy sign turned up under my Christmas tree this year!!!!  It is now hanging right next to the car!

Post some pictures of the 1957 Chev.

Taken on the road to Mt. St. Helens a year ago:

Dakota Digital gauges went in last year when I re-wired the car.

That is an MSD Atomic EFI lurking under there.  Note the vintage M/T valve covers without PCV provisions.

I love it. You should come here in June for "back to the 50s" 12,000 pre 67 classics and street rods.

When I was a kid, my grandpa had the same car.   We called it "the blue bird".

I had a 56 210 with a 283 and BW T10.  I had a 57 Sedan Delivery when we got married. Dottie didn't want to ride around in no damn truck. (ask her) Also a 57 210 that we raced in C/MP in 62-63. They're out of my price range now. Have to make-do with the 68.

Thanks!   ;D

The rest of the story...  My dad bought this car used in 1967.  I rode home in it when I was born in 1969.  Sat on my mother's lap - no seat belt, air bag, or government mandated child safety seat!  The car was taken apart & repainted in 1976, but was not reassembled until 1990 when it was used in my sister's wedding.  Dad passed the car along to me a few years ago so that he could see me enjoy it for a while.  I warned him I would make changes & update it!  Although he liked the stock look, the original drive train went away in 1967.  I have no compunction about the EFI or 4-speed that live there today.  We'll see what the budget holds for further changes.

Very interesting history. We should be encouraged to pass our Glastrons on to our sons and sons-in-law.
