SSV-151 added to the group

I bought a 1983 SSV-151 yesterday. The boat is located in a back yard in Milwaukee and won't be able to be picked up until the snow is gone and the yard is firm enough to drive on. Bummer. I'm looking forward to getting this boat, cleaning it up and running it this summer. It's ready to go now but can be improved. It has a Mariner 50HP O/B on the back now. I think I will put on a Mercury 90HP tower. Love those old Mercs! Anyone have experience or info on the SSV-151 that would be helpful to me? Now that I have this new (for me) boat, I guess it's time to sell my 1976 GT-150 and my 1979 16' Checkmate. I also have the 1983 Glastron sales book that came with the boat if anyone wants to see any of the other boats from that year.

Is that a pad ?

In MN. a dealer can put a motor 15 % larger (HP rating) then the BIA plate states.
I've heard Johnson GT motor's are higher HP then there stated HP, not sure if this is true though ...
So a Johnson GT100 would be a legal fit ... Finding a nice one might be the hard part ...

Unless you have your heart set on a Merc ...

Yes .. Please post picture of Intimidator and I'll put it in our 1983 Brochure section ...

It lists the SSV-151, T-162, SSV-167/168, SSV-176, SSV-177/179, SX-180/190, V-195/192, SV-191, V-197, CVX-16, CVX-17, CVX-18, Ski Machine, CV-23, Scimitar, T-161, HPV-155, HPV-165, HPV-175, V-216/219 and Custom Trailers, in that order. Sorry, no Intimidator
