WOW! I don't know of a Vagabond rebuild. You have some work to do before you start to think about gel-coat. Let's see some pictures. My guess is "a bunch"

i will sent pics as soon as i can the hull is in really good shape but there are alot of stress cracks that i would like to sand down and reinforce before the gelcoat and i would like to switch out the OMC outdrive for a merc or volvo. the boat is beige and a really weird dark green. im thinking of changing it to White and a shamrock green. The interior is all but done im putting new wood in and not covering the panels im staining ceader and clear coating it to protect it.  Any ideas.

Yeah I cant say we've seen a Vagabond rebuild. This will be interesting. Good move on dumping the OMC but you'll have transom work to do inside and out.
Gelcoat is big bucks from what I've heard. You might want to scale that back unless you have a fat wallet. Stress cracks aren't a huge deal. Unsightly, yes but as long as they are not structural, it can wait. There are folks around that can fix those too and if you're going to re-gel or paint, maybe you can do some body work yourself?
