Motor Stand Plans?
« on: July 08, 2014, 03:35:02 PM »
Does anybody have plans / drawings for a motor stand?  I need to get my 75 Evinrude up off the floor, and I have some spare lumber laying around.  I figured I could build something if someone has a diagram.

Thanks!

I have one you can use Brian, but it may be more work to come to Bloomington than to build one "SCREW IT"  (deck screws)

WARNING! Building motor stands can be addictive ... (Now, if I only had a motor that ran ...)

Well, the motor is on the stand, and the boat is / was in the garage...  It hasn't fallen over yet, so it looks like we are good!

Diggin the paint job.

That's a high end custom paint job as a result of using scrap lumber laying around!  I know your jealous!  :)

I should point out that the Javelin needs a piston & rings minimum, the two 135's would be a total rebuild if the blocks are salvageable, the one 15 does have compression but the carbs are off and I've never checked it out to see if it runs, I haven't checked out the 85 off the bass boat yet, it's all original and has never been taken apart so that is all I know about it.
So basically it's just a pile of spare parts.

This doesn't count what's on boats. Some of these are gone and replaced with others.
