80 degrees on sat. 27? River bound! Anyone else?
« on: September 24, 2014, 05:16:59 PM »
80 on Saturday is to good to pass up this time of year, so the boats are coming out, hopefully not for the last time!  We're going to head to the st. Croix if any one wants to tag along. We usually put in at Hastings  and either go up the st.croix or down the miss. Depending on traffic. Naughty haug has a good burger if that's ok or we could bring small grills and have our own picnic. I'm open to suggestions... Try to be at Hastings marina around 10 ish.  And go from there..

I might be able to do st. Croix, but I'll start in Hudson.

I am thinking about it I would probably launch in Stillwater, Hudson or somewhere in between.
I think this has become an addiction.

We can catch up with anyone from Kinney park to beer can and go from there. I'm open to any and all suggestions.  Let's burn some gas, and wake some waves.. :).            How about this? We can meet at the north side of Kinney park on the st.croix around 11 or noon, then go down the miss. to the sand island for a BBQ. Or a burger at the naughty hawg depending on how many show.

Option 1  Tell them I stole your hammer and tools. Then hid them on an unknown island in the St Croix River Valley.  Then you bring the tools with on Sat and I will hide them, that way we are not lying.

Option 2  I stop by you get in the cuddy (i can hold a pocket knife or something so you feel threatened) then I close off the cuddy area locking you in, scared not knowing what will happen  next. Then you are stranded on an island in the river and forced to drink beer

We three siblings and spouses made it out to the Paddleboat at Taylors Falls. Kept waiting for it to get up on plane, but it never did. The paddlewheels are functional. Boat only in the water 22" deep.

Saturday ended up to be too busy of a day to get on the river. We did make it out on the river today. Except using paddles on the Kinicinikicinicicicicickcikincick river.

It's a personal thing. If you think it counts, it does. If you don't think it counts, it doesn't. LOL

WOW what a difference a few days makes. Me and the 3 boys did an overnight on 'Tonka in "Blind Date" last weekend. The temp/weather was perfect.  They had a blast and want to go again this weekend, but I'm not sure that's gonna happen unless it warms back up a little.
