Ok Rub it in. You and Doug can throw some more sand in the wounds. He's only 80 miles to the North so it won't take you long to get there.

All kidding aside I'm glad you're having a good time.

Looks very inviting, wish we could be there enjoying it as well.

PS. I must be weird, but every time I think of Florida, my minds plays the "Sirloin of the sea" song.  Probably because Doug's manatee threads were so funny.

Got to rave a little more about Navionics. It actually knows the tide schedule and adjusts the water depths on the map depending on where the tide is at. You can slide the tide schedule into the future to see water depths for when you expect to travel through a certain area. Very cool! Got to be careful down here as pretty soon the pontoon could be sitting on top of a beach! Very well mapped out on the app. Even identified a few wrecks in the bay. One of my best investments.

Hey Doug, those channel marker poles aren't THAT hard to see! As a matter a fact, looks like I am holding one in my hand in the first pic!

Looks warm and fun, a great place to explore, Sally and I have run those waters from Ft. Meyers Beach as far north as Cabbage Key (for burgers in paradise).  I was surprised how much of that water is not navigable, miles of 18 Inches deep water to fool you when the winds calm.   I hope you have a nice trip.

Regarding Manatee. (Urp.) Did you see any of em in the idle/manatee zones? Nah, us neither ... That ain't where they hang out.

A group in Crystal River has petitioned the FWC to have Manatee removed from the "endangered" list. Cuz there's so many of the cs'ers around elsewhere. FWC has actually "considered" this petition and it's working it's way through legal channels.

Naturally, this has Manatee lovers up in arms screaming bloody murder. In their eyes too many is never enough.

In other, surprising, news. A different environmental group is suing to have hot water discharges turned off. Claiming the intakes kill turtles & the exhaust kills fish.

Of coarse this too has the Manatee freaks goin apechit. I love it!
