I thought for sure it looked like 50's Flash but I guess you'd know Jerry.

I hate to be brutally honest, but there isn't enough of the chrome, windshield, or things you need to really do it right. I would look for something else to restore. You have no idea how hard it is to find that stuff.

I believe it's a 1958 FireFlite, the only one of those three years with the swept fin cap, the Red Fish and the Barracuda never had the swept fin cap, and the Red Fish fin'e were strait in top, just slanted upwards to the back, Glastron and Barracuda, and Lone Star were raised and curved.

The red boat posted above comparing the decks is a 1957, a bit different than the 58's

Mine is a 58 FireFlite. It's not that. It's hard to tell because there were knockoffs all over.

It's the same as yours Jerry, well ... but it will take a lot of work and luck finding the hardware you described to put it back in condition, I think Tom in Ok has the fin cap hardware, he and I brought back from Illinois the top deck of a 58 surflite several years ago, he still has it.  The surflite had the same deck, just the seat benches were different, they were parallel on the sides like the seaflite.  Zoom in on the pictures of the boat in question, you can see where the rear deck cover was mounted, by screws and nuts, like yours, and the front cleat pad, are the same as is the flat bottom windshield on the fireflite, different than the seaflite in 58, that dipped in the middle fitting the dip in the deck in 58 as well.  There were a few "pops" for sure, but I never seen a pop off a 1958, but the ones I have seen is a pop off the 1957 and 1959 hull, I never seen a "pop" off the 58 with the swept fin cap.

The strange part is the bow. It does not match any of the pics Gregg posted. Close but not exact. Some of those early pictures look like drawings so maybe things changed in the real world.

that is a Beautiful 1958 SeaFlite 17ft, the deck is a bit different than the FireFlite because
the windshield is not flat on bottom, it conformed to the "did" in the deck.
