Given the information presented, it would be tough to establish value.   To better ascertain value I/we would need to know the length and particular model of the craft, current power status, condition, location(market), and any value added amenities such as trailer, electronics, and background information.    Bottom line to always remember, something is worth what someone is willing to give for it.

Do you need a value for insurance or are you selling it?  Selloing is what ever someone will pay will be different for every boat depends on color engine etc. For insurance I insured the one I sold for 9,000

I sold a 1977 CVX 18 that was completely repainted, new interior and newer engine I got 8,500. My floor had not been redone though. Although it was not soft and didn't need to be replaced yet.  Very rarely will you make money after you restore something unless you do all the work yourself and get a good deal on it to start with. Here is a link to the video of it

Pretty sure this is Jay's (Friscoboater) CVX-18.  If memory serves, he offered it up for sale for like $2500.00 to move it along as he needed cash.  So, keep that in mind.

The selling price is/was posted on Facebook.  He had at least $6-7k into it before the fire sale.

Are you completing the reassembly and breaking in the engine & components before selling?  So its a completed & running boat at the time of sale?

That was Friscoboaters project wasn't it?   I remember watching a number of his videos rebuilding it.  Was for sale I believe for $4500.00?    Could be worth twice that or more completed.

$2500 on FB last week or the week before.  If you've seen his latest video...he's trying to get his life back together after hitting rock bottom.

Tried to get ahold of him so when I get the boat and complete it. He can post " the rest of the story"

Dean - looking through GOTD I see Frisco's old CVX18 is still for sale on CL near Chicago. Curious as to what happened. Was there something wrong with the boat or did you just have second thoughts about buying it.
