New to your forum, I've been a glastron owner most of my life.
My family purchased our 1984 Glastron Carlson new in 1984 after trading our 1976 CV 16. I took over the ownership in the late 1990's we have truly enjoyed this boat, interestingly I was in high school when we purchased it and now I have kids in high school and college. The boat has never been restored, the floor and transom are still strong but the interior, trailer and engine have been upgraded. We currently are running a 1999 Johnson 115, it had a Johnson 140 on it when was new. The Johnson 115 pushes it about 47 mph but we use it for skiing and most of the day it is a work horse tow boat...
Hope to get to your meet next year, this year is extremely busy.

Welcome Joe, good to see you up here in the MN forum. (I lusted over your beautiful boat and especially the "late model" Johnson on CGOA, if you recall.) I'm shooting for next year on the big meet as well, just can't swing the drive from Atlanta this year.

I had a great day at the lake, we were invited to a relative?s lake home and I ended up being the designated boat driver. I spent all day driving a Celebrity, after hours of pulling kids on tubs and wake boards you really grow to appreciate the Glastron Carlson. Although the celebrity is a beautiful boat, nice open front end, beautiful interior, power steering, I spent most of the time sitting on a cooler, in the seat, just to look over the windshield. The rise on today?s new boats pulling tubs and wake boards is way different then pulling a skier with a Carlson. In my boat you can always see over the windshield, I never feel unsafe and I can look at the outboard and see what direction we will be going and the trim...
Thank You Art Carlson.......
