Title: Relocate battery in CVX16ss? Storage ideas?

Has anyone relocated their battery to the engine compartment to get back some valuable storage space under the rear seat?

Or has anyone come up with additional storage compartments on one? When I got our boat, I pulled the tank to get cleaned out, and there were 8 orange life vests in the bow in the dead space.
