Title: Selling my raker
Post by: Fuzzbutt on August 09, 2014, 08:13:37 PM
I have a light use 13 spline 22" pitch Raker I use on my CVX16/Johnson. While it is a very nice prop I just can;t spin that much pitch. Only get 4900 rpm out of it. So I think I'm going to throw it on eBay after I clean out the exhaust smell. Any one want one before I do? I have $300 in it. If I had 50 more HP I think it would be awesome.

I have two 22" Rakers and one 20" Raker. My 22" Raker is for light loads only, and I have the old 140 HP Johnson rerated for 115 HP. Throw it on Craigslist and the two Glastron sites also. Excellent prop.

I'm waking this dinosaur of a thread back up.... how are you liking your building so far? I'm looking at putting up a 60x80 building and trying to decid if I should go this route or just pay a company that sells buildings to put it up. It looks like I can save a decent amount if I function as the general contractor like you did. I have already tracked down a small company that has a telehandler and is willing to help if I go this route.

Think you might be in the wrong thread?
As far as I know, I am the only one that put a building in recent history so maybe this is directed at me?

Jason put up a storage building a number of years back.

Well seeing as how I think the total area of my lawn is about the size of the building you are thinking about I can say that it isn't mine. 60x80 is over twice the footprint of my house and only 600 square feet larger than my available grass coverage.

That, and I'd 'magine permitting would be kinda a headache ...
