Title: Evinrude 85 parts and fuel tank, cleaning house (garage actually)
Post by: thedeuceman on November 16, 2012, 10:02:44 AM
motor on the left must go, free for the taking
im keeping all the electrical and the carbs, it has low comp on 2 cyl, does not have power tilt/trim.
Doug Campbell asked for the block a while back, have not heard if he still wants it.

other 2 motors are for sale, 1966 80 runs w good comp but needs wiring $125
the one in the middle is a 62 or 63 33hp, got it from a friend. on the off chance that someone here wants it they could prob use some $$ so i can check it out if requires

i also have a transom bracket from a mercruiser 140, free to anyone who can use it

alum fuel tank from a cobalt, 48 1/2 x 21 at top, 18 at bot, 7 1/4 tall, free
i also have a set of io gauges and a morse helm/cable with a cool looking retro wheel listed here, also free for the taking.

Hey Joe, I'll take the fuel tank if you're willing to hang on to it for a bit...if my existing tank continues to be an issue, that will fit nicely under the bench seat.

I'll be up for the boat show in January, and likely a ski trip over Christmas break to Afton Alps.

I believe I just saw a post where Doug was asking about that block of yours.  Have you tried to send him a message?

Joe
What kind of wiring issues are there on the 66 80hp? That would look good on the back of my 61 Surflite.
Have you ever had it running?

Insulation is all rotten.
I hot wired it, and bypassed the fuel inlet cuz it was plugged
Any it started right up, I only ran it for about 30 sec cuz I had no cooling water to it.
I have the control but the cable is bad.

this mid section is going to scrap in a week or so if no one can use it.
