Rainy lake houseboats
« on: July 18, 2021, 11:19:17 AM »
Went to international falls and where Chris, myself along with a couple other couples and rented a houseboat on rainy lake.  we brought emmers our Gx-225 along.  Very nice time with great weather and would recommend this place to anyone… fishing was good with Chris catching the biggest fish, a solid 4 lbs small mouth bass.  also was our 38 anniversary on that day.   By the way it was on a ultralight pole with only 6lb string on it she fought it for a good 5 minutes… she was a little afraid to hold it for the picture  :D

Thought about doing that as well, did you just tow the boat behind on the bow hook?

I love it up there. Thanks for sharing. We never did the house boats but always wanted to try it.

We camped out of the boat…..can’t believe it’s been 10 years. We are due for another trip!

We will do it again.. no rain… just smoke.. southern Canada was on fire..woke up a couple of days to what we thought was fog but was from all the smoke.. we pulled two boats behind the houseboat with tow bars.. one fishing, one glastron they were padded poles with hooks on both ends about  7’ long..
