The back half of my trailer is roller. So we could probably get it off would just take a few people. Does any one have stands? Or am I going to need to buy some Jack stands and weld some larger pads on them.
I think this has become an addiction.

It's just going to need to be REALLY stable. Don't need anyone getting sued. Could maybe make something out of lumber too.

I made a call to the 3M rep several weeks ago, asking for buffing supplies in turn for a little advertising (display of bottles of compound we use).

As per conversation with him, he was going to order a case each of heavy duty compound and Finesse II for the group to use.

Said I should have it before the holidays as of now it is not it my hands. Will let know by posting when it arrives.

I see that Gregg kindly looking to help somebody and myself also.

I have all the pads and buffer. So anybody needing help let us know.

Some one bring a boat that we can polish up.  It would give everyone an idea of what can be done with an older boat.  Do half of a deck and the case of buffing compounds will sell them selves!

Regarding the boat trailers, an idea would be to take a wheel off of one side only so that it is lower, tilted and easier for people to look into the boat.

Glyn, where are you located?  I can possibley transport your boat to the boat show depending on where you live it might be easier to have someone else do it.

I can deliver the boat anywhere in the Twin Cities area the previous Sat or Sunday. I live in Osceola, just down the road from Trollhaugen Ski Area.

Thanks for any potential help.

My two cents. Although Scotts CVX would be a great candidate, putting it back together then having to take it apart to do the floor again might be a bit of a hassle?

Also, my shop is 30x40 and I think more then 4 boats in that space would be getting crowded but one could be turned. Especially if its behind 2 shorter ones like the GT and a CV16. Putting them on stands would be nice so you wouldnt have a trailer tonge sticking out but again, how tough and pratical is it? I dont know.
The removing one wheel is a great idea if left on the trailer. Can we rest the axel on a piece of wood or use jack stands? I have 4 plus numerous jacks.
So who is taking the lead on printed material and what will we do? Anyone and everyone that can make it to the first breakfast top hammer out these details should really try to make it. I have no idea as to how to create a brochure but agree with the style Jason suggested.

PS Hi Glyn. I am right across the river from you. Across from Dresser in Mn. At this point I can not commit to helping out with the transport of your GT.

I live in White Bear you could drop it off at my house. I am sure I could get it over there I need to bring mine down there anyway. Probably  have my neighbor follow me down there with your boat. I just don't know if I could get it inside until we bring it down to the show should fit in my parking space in the garage Let me know.

I was just wondering if we have the details worked out for this yet? Also wondering the final list of boats that are needed/wanted. I can still bring my cvx 20 and I did take Thursday and Friday off to be there either way! Sounds like fun. I can't wait

Shawn, If  You  have to get yours anyway in Osele  I could probably follow you up with my truck and pick this one up too, pending my truck doesn't get stolen again like last time we moved boats.

we could keep one in my garage for a couple days until it needs to be at the show.

Great! This sounds like we can make the shuffling work. Depending on the weather, either anytime Friday, anytime Saturday or Sunday afternoon could work (Jan 13/14/15). I changed my flight plans for the following week (I fly to work every week) so I can pick the boat up Sunday Jan 22 after 6pm at the show.
I can also work the show anytime Fri/Sat/Sun.

Do we a single point contact from the club who's organizing the event? I need to know if the 007 movie poster and the fact sheet on making the movie with Glastrons can be displayed. (see below)

 The list; Jason's V-172, Shawn's CV-16ss, Glyn's GT150, Tim's CVX-18, and Scott's CVX-20.

I think the last time I talked to Sean, it sounded like everyone could make it on this list.

Glyn: Sean (76bayflite) is organizing this event. Please contact him with questions or post here.
Yes! Bring your signs! Those are really neat. In fact, I would love to know where you had those made. It would be nice to get something made for every boat at the show.

Glyn, it would be a good idea to have information sheets/posters with all the boats.  I'm sure we can find a good place for the movie poster as well.

The movie poster came from on-line, the fact sheet I created from a discussion with the Ian Fleming Foundation on facts fom the movie, Live and Let Die. A plotter printer created the text in poster size. I also have a poster creation of the GT dong the jump scene from the movie. (see attachment) And one more film photo with a GT-150 that's cool...

I've found that text/photo facts make an exhibit 10x better in reception and readership from the viewer. People love to relate the (boat) they are seeing to history and facts. I've won numerous exhibits by tying in the item, with photos and facts. The public loves it!

Kinko's can do plotter printer creations for $. Many industrial plants have plotter printers that employees can run off for about nothing with permission as a "government job". Just a plain .jpg or word document can be printed. My prints were about 24" x 36" and then placed into a (cheap) frame. They look good. A couple $10 tri-pods finished the exhibit piece. (A $6,000 boat will beat a $100,000 Ferrari everytime. :)

Looks like 203a is in the back corner of the show highlighted in yellow. It's actually 1/3 of the area highlighted in yellow. You can see a frieght enternce to the right of our spot.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as what kind of flyer we wanted to put together. Or what we were thinking for handouts. If no one minds I would like to put a small advertisement on the back page of the handout for my agency. I will pay for all costs of printing. Does anyone have a good idea or possibly something put together that we could use. I was thinking some smaller facts as well as history with a few photos. Maybe also mention the summer Meet in Redwing. Do we have dates for it yet? Also web addresses for the MN chapeter site as well as Iowa and the main Classic Glastron site. Let me know thought or ideas.
Thanks

Shawn: Send a note to my email (Thormang@aol.com) and we can arrange time/location for my boat delivery.

Sean: Have you worked up an attendant schedule yet for coverage at the show? Also, do we get some comp tickets to work the show?

Thanks
