Wet sand and buff.
« on: June 23, 2019, 02:40:51 PM »
A few of you know I hurt blue last fall so I got this gold 23 to use until I get blue back on the water. Nice survivor boat that still had good wood it.... I thought..  the stringers and transom still look good but the floor was soft in one spot so I got a new floor in her and now time to see if she’ll shine up..   what else can you do on a nice wet rainy day...

Gold member?  Nice looking craft, great job on the finish.  The best products do cost a bit more, and I've found them to be a bit more agressive than less expensive products, I assume because they are made for commercial use in production, body and detail shops?

Was that a clear or straight up unprotected metal flake with the flakes coming off as you sanded?

Most of the boat had good clear but the bow was pretty thin I only used 2000 grit on it and was very gentle That’s why I’m looking for a good sealer now to stop it from “chalking” up so fast.
