My neighbor Tim who has the houseboat just as you pull out said the river was low. I don't think it's a problem for us, but bigger boats are having trouble getting out of the marina.

Traveled the Mississippi River from St. Paul Park to Hastings Dam back through downtown St. Paul and up the Minnesota to Ft. Snelling today with son Paul. Mississippi not nearly as swift as it was 7/20/2013 when it was hard to launch from St. Paul Park because of the currents. Minnesota River seemed really down, judging from the exposed sand and mud river banks. Less debris on the river.

Bald eagle on top of sand pile.
