Well I sold the sea lice yesterday.

Almost gave 'em away actually. The NIB parts to put the XP back together cost more than what I sold both skis for. Included also was a single galvanized Performance trailer. Matches the tandem trailer the skis are sittin' on. I hate to take a beating like that but what're ya gonna do?

Like you said, what are you going to do. At least they are gone. One less thing to work on and buy license for. This week I kinda, sorta decided to put my RV on the chopping block too. Not done with it but did to the nasty stuff. Ideally, I was going to be pulling the 175 with it to Red Wing next August but to have it sitting my my driveway is pretty worthless.
Bike might go too.

Thanks Ross. Saves me a bunch in registration fees if nothing else. More money for the Glastron I s'pose.

Frosted my cookies a bit selling 'em so cheap but we all do what we have to. Good news is we're keepin' it in the family, so to speak. Sold em to a buddy that lives a couple streets over.

Tell ya what when he slaps that .020 pro x top end kit into the XP & puts it back together it'll be a sick ski. That thing ran 52-53 mph bone stock. Not bad for a 720. I added a Worx intake grate, eliminated the factory pump extention, added an R&D rideplate extention, hot rod impellor, chopped water box, etc. That thing'd dislocate your shoulders or break the handlebars before it came unstuck. Was running 56-57 mph GPS before the motor cradle broke ...

I did the same a few years back.  HAD to try the PWC thing and bought a pair of 600cc Tigersharks.  Bounced around on them a total of about 6 times over the course of a summer then pretty much parked them aside from a couple trips to the lake with my nephews a couple times, I could never keep up with them, they left me in the dust big time!  Only paid $5K for the pair and a trailer but only got $2k when I went to sell them.  Traded up to the CV-21!

S'pose it all equals out somewhere along the line Chris. Bought 'em used and had 3 or 4 trouble free years so I guess I can't complain. Ran that dang XP every weekend. Great ski! Well, 'til it broke ...  To be fair the motor mount/cradle broke. The motor was still running fine. Matter of fact it tried to corkscrew through the hull next to my left knee ...

I dunno. When I look at the new stuff I just don't see 'personal watercraft'. Do you? Personal used to mean "room for one", I think. You might disagree but I've been calling these new behemoth PWC's 'boats with handlebars' for some time now. Am I wrong?

U B right!  And most of them cost about the same as a boat too!   Far more than any of my rigs!  Specially the newest hole-in-the-water I brought home!
