I am in the middle of a total restoration of a 1971 Glastron GT which has been in our family for 30 years. The boat is red/orange ( painted blue, but I am returning it to the old colors) and has a 125 evinrude, still in good shape. I am looking for the following parts or any leads that can point me in the right direction. I have contacted some salvage yards for help, but they have not gotten back to me as of today. Here is the list:
-hull plastic emblem, Glastron"football", black and silver
-the 160 GT decals, black and silver
-stern light on post
-black steering wheel, three post, with chrome inserts and circular holes
-voltage gauge
The last item, will be impossible, but maybe someone can at least give me some alternatives, but I am looking for the front bucket seats and shells. They were cream colored plastic, and I threw them out a long time ago, because they were all busted up. I am trying to stay as original as possible, as I would like to take this boat to shows, and it is a family favorite. Any help would be appreciated.
Does anyone know the correct paint code for a 71 that is orange/red?

For G footballs, Steering wheel & Stern light you should watch eBay or local Craigslist listing with cheap boats, that the owner might sell some parts off of, for the right price ...
Have you thought about just going with a wood and metal Carlson style wheel ?
Gel code I have only go back to 1975 and don't list any orange.
The 1971 brochure picture shows a non Jetson stern light ....

I've got a pair of the football emblems (needing painted) and the GT style steering wheel (with inserts) but it has the Ride Guide (square taper) hub. Send me a message if you're interested and we'll work something out.

Yes, I still have a set of NOS seat shells.

Wow, thanks for all the replies. The 160 seats in the response are exactly what I am looking for. I would really like to talk to him if he still has them. Let me check on the steering wheel and emblem and I will get back on that

Terry, I am very interested. How can I contact you directly to make arrangements?

He's having it done at a shop, so, I'm not sure about pictures. The hull is back together and the interior is next. He's going to have another set of front seats made to use when just cruising around with family and friends, but, when he goes to a boat show, he'll switch out the seat for the originals. I talked to him some about coming to Minnesota and bringing his boat, it might be 2017 before he's ready for that. He has several other boats, too. One's a '77 Donzi with an I/O. He also has a sailboat that he and he dad built when he was younger.

I want to thank Terry for driving 6 hours to meet me half way for the seat backs. It was very much appreciated. I am having my 1971 160 GT professionally restored as we owned it since 1987 and it was our first boat. My wife and I were very attached to the boat and kept it, despite owning 6 other boats. Sadly while I was in MD last month looking for more parts for my boat, a drunk driver hit us head on and killed my wife. Needless to say, the boat is even more special to me than ever. I just posted a note looking for help with vendors for upholstery, carpeting, and the windshield. I am doing the bird dogging for the restoration in finding parts, so any help will be greatly appreciated. The NOS seat backs will really set this boat apart and I want everything else to be of the same quality and originality. I will make it to a meet once finished and would like to show the boat as a tribute to my beautiful wife.

Wow! Very sad to hear about your wife. I just about fell on the floor reading that. Very sad. Can't imagine what that was like. What a great tribute to her! The fact she was riding around with you looking for boat parts shows just how great she really was! Remember the good times and enjoy the restoration. Can't wait to see the GT160 when she's finished!!
Glad Terry was able to meet you. Knowing Terry, I am not surprised he made the 6 hour drive to meet you. Great guy!!

So Sorry! Sounds like she loved the boat as well, so what a great tribute. The upholstery colors tend to come and go, Veada will send samples out if you ask...
