Post by: still_fishin on June 01, 2013, 11:54:14 AM
1977 v195.
Not mine but it is in Red Wing.
Hear is what I know;
$1000.00
305, mercruiser outdrive
Recent gimbal bearing
Outdrive resealed last year
Nice roller trailer
Solid floor
Good original interior
It has the camper top, one of the vertical bars is broken though
Starts hard the first time, after that it is fine.(carb?)
Skeg is broke off
It is metal flake blue
Passenger side of hull is scratched up

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll take a closer look, even get more pictures if you want them.

I'm all for donor boats if they are crap. I don't think this one has that quality. I know it isn't my boat but is hate to see it cut up like that.

I agree. At least look at something besides a Glastron to cut apart. Plenty of crap out there.

Seems like shame to tear apart. If Brandon is smart he won't settle for anything less than a donor boat w/5.7 Alpha anyways.

Don't worry guys the price is right but it is too nice to tear apart and then scrap. Plus I need to get Phoenix Rising's hull in prestine shape and get that 140 up and running and installed also. Fawkes can wait and the right donor boat will come along eventually one with a 5.7 and alpha.

Huh...Ok.  You guys obviously see something I don't...but on second thought, I'd want to know more about the hard hit that broke the skeg off...
