CVX-20 jet values
« on: May 10, 2018, 09:54:35 AM »
Hello,

I have been following Gregg's GCOTD thread on boats for sale but I have a question for you experts.  I am interested in a CVX-20 jet but don't really have a handle on values.  What I don't want is a big project.  I can handle re-doing the trailer and basic engine maintenance and cosmetic freshening but do NOT want to replace stringers, etc...

Can someone give me some idea of fair values on this boat in better than average condition and also would love to hear of any nice CVX-20 jets for sale if you've got one or know of one.

Thanks!
Mike

My best guess for average to mint-original is probably 5-9K. Average would probably include some gel fade, interior wear, and maybe even some non-original components.

I look at a LOT of G/C's, I see the asking price, But never know what they actually sell for.
Also ...
These boats are 30 to 40 years old, it's near imposable to tell how much rot is in them by looking/poking/wiggling ...
You almost have to ripe them apart to know for sure, exactly how bad they are.

He's looking / thinking about this one.
It has some problems ...
