1970’s Glastron Gauges
« on: September 07, 2020, 11:22:10 PM »
I’m looking for a 1970’s vintage glastron Gauge.  My voltmeter just went out and I’m looking for a match to the rest of the gauges.  Is there any way to fix this gauge?  It’s reading high.  Key off the back of the gauge is getting 12.47 Volts but the gauge reads 16 or so volts on the face. It’s a teleflex Voltmeter see image below.  If anyone had any spares of this face type, I would be interested.

OR ..

Take apart and see if it's a easy fix ..

You could find someone local with a variable dc supply and a good DMM to check the calibration.  If it's off linearly, say a couple volts high across the range, then maybe a drop resistor could bring it back to calibration without opening the can.  I'd be happy to do that for ya, but there would be shipping charges.
