Mom's softball team
« on: October 21, 2011, 03:52:27 PM »
Thought y'all might enjoy this: They may not posess the speed & agility or grace they once had but boy these ole gals take the game seriously.

That's Mom in the back row behind the "P" in the sign. She plays catcher. Still got a heck of an arm btw. She's a southpaw and bats that way, but catches and throws right handed?

Don't know how she does it but that woman hits the floor running early every morning & don't stop 'til she drops. Thank God I didn't inherit that gene! Too tired & busted up anyway ...

Lucky for me I inherited Dad's 'let's just sit here & think about it for awhile' gene ...? Heh heh heh

My Dad was overseas a lot when I was growing up so it was left to Mom to keep us kids in line. And lemme tell ya she ruled with an iron fist. Zero tolerance you might say. Ever watch "Full Metal Jacket"? Imagine Gunnery Sgt Hartmann X 10.

She'd just as soon hug you vs slug you. But we love her all the same ...
