She won't be worthy of parking on the outskirts of shows for a while yet.
The welding/cutting/modding I did on the frame is all tacked up and only some is welded.
I was using a buddies welder, only rated for 3/16 MAX, and I have some 3/16 in there, and didn't wanna do it with that welder.
I prefer to use something a bit beefier than maxed out on structural welds.
Garage was broken into, and his welder was stolen (Buying him a new one today),
so I need to take it somewhere to finish welding and boxing the rear of the frame before undercoating and painting.
Once that's done, she'll be driveable, but I'm still gonna lower her a bit more front and back,
I notched the rear so I can get her down.... flipped the rear shackles to drop 6" already,
gonna block the shackles up a bit further for another 2-3" drop in the rear.
Front subframe is a 69 Camaro, and that will be an easy drop, for another 1-2"
In the midst of all this I'll keep after the body work, some dents in the cab,
Fabricating some custom rear stake pocket supports to house '99 Deville tail lights,
Frenching the headlights, then just need to shorten the running boards and filler panels since I shortened the truck.....
Then she'll get final primer/sanding/sealer, and a 100% coverage satin and mat black lace paint job
And I have a buddy that does AWESOME pinstriping, so she'll get dressed up a bit.....
Should be pretty slick all said and done, and it's looking like the very near future.
With 260 HP (and some upgrades bumping it to somewhere unknown), and no rear end weight, she has some attitude.
