Pretty sure that's not the factory grab handle but I also don't see holes for where the original one would have been mounted. So either the finish isn't originl on the engine cover or I'm wrong about the handle.

As far as the floor, remove the rear sear and see how it feels. That's the worst spot on my '79.

Even though the 302 and 351W are basically the same engine the blocks are different.

Thanks Jason, I thought I had heard/read on the national forum that they were interchangeable.

Rear seat, pads, engine cover are all out. no soft spots that I can find. What are thoughts on the flotation boxes

Shawn

I removed mine and did not reinstall them.

Hand to make small boxes on each side approx 12x12 for the battery on one side and the trim pump onthe other.

Gives a lot of extra room for what ever.

I noticed on another thread that you might be interested in a trailer.  I have one from my '86 ssv-191 that I have in storage at a friends house.  It's not perfect, but?  If you are interested, I'll see about finding some pics of it as I did list it once on C/L.  it does have 2 new tires on it also.

Good luck with the CVX18.... looking forward to sea trials on mine this spring. Finishing my tour next month. I have seats and interior work left, nothing major and then I'm on the water. These are pics after floor/stringer rework and 3M Super Duty compound buffing, then finesse. Original gel coat.
