I'm thinking ... Roll the boat out of the garage, put two 2X4's under deck and get some help to lift and set in garage.
Though about putting it in the corner, but it would be in the way ... At least if it's in Carols parking spot she'll want me to get it done FAST !
Still a bunch to do before deck comes off ...

Gregg if your roof joists are exposed maybe you can hang it from them. Although I can understand where that might make you a little nervous. Good idea to take the windshield off.

Yes that would be nice if you could hang it from the ceiling. Out of the way and not outside. Maybe hang it over the war depts parking space. At least you wouldnt be working under it this way.  ;D

Greg

Me, Jess and my Neighbors Brian and Sara carried the top half of the 23 out of my garage. It was not very heavy I just slid some 2x3 under the deck so we had something to hold on to. You could just do that and then pull it up to the ceiling so it is out of the way. I have a come along you can borrow. Or just use some rope and a couple pulleys.
I think this has become an addiction.

let me know if you need a hand too. I like the idea of hanging it from the ceiling too.

Gregg

I pulled the top off of my GT 150 used 4 ratcheting straps hook into the ceiling and down to the cleats.  Worked up each one little by little.

I am like you no help in the house had to do it alone.

The decks length would interfere with the garage door opening so Carol couldn't use garage, unless I hung it in the corner and that would just be more work ... Garage ceiling is sheet rocked ...
Told Carol what was going to happen and she just said    "OK ... Why didn't you get a good boat that doesn't need all this work "    ...
LOL !

Got most of the (transom) wood out and I think (after prying) that wood between resin plate has "let loose" ... Maybe ...
Wednesday I'll start on removing steering, wind shield, fuel tank and other stuff ...

Do you have to remove the steering? I believe all that should come off with the top unless you are planning on replacing it with a nfb steering.
Or maybe a dual setup.

Think I'm gonna have to turn deck over to grind down the splash well, where it tabs to transom.
