Finally got the Glastron into the garage and the teardown underway. This is the way it looked when I brought it home in August.
My Boat'n Buddy Ethan stopped by to lend a hand. I spent the summer helping him repair and repower his Wellcraft so he was more than willing to spend some time on a Glastron.
Ethan says "Hallelujah the CVX project finally begins"
It would seem to be easier to get the boat on a cradle without the motor and outdrive.
Pulling the motor is next.
Building the cradle was next on Ethan's list.
Ready to get serious.
It sure looks like Ethan is doing all the work but I'm doing my share also. It just happens that I'm always on the backside of the camera.
Next up is to remove the previously repaired floor. I don't know if I should keep the original leaves or get new ones.
Here is what I found under the old plywood. The original waterlogged foam pieces are a nice touch!
Well, that's it for now. The tear down will continue and the questions will flow.
