How do you attach the plastic hinge???
« on: August 03, 2013, 06:07:20 PM »
Ok, I have tried several adhesives (JB Weld, Plastic Weld, ect.) to keep the plastic hinge for the walk through window on Phoenix Rising. Everything seems to release after the windshield frame heats up in the sun and we have about lost the center section a couple times this season. So does anyone have a good solution for permanently attaching it to the outer windshield section other than screws?

Doesn't it just slide in the channels then a couple rivets to hold it in place?

There are holes that might have been used for rivets under the hinge point. Just three in the middle. I will take a better look at it tomorrow. Maybe I could use the hole from the screws that were holding the hinges on when we got Phoenix Rising.

That is how my (V-156) hinge was held in ..Screws ... Might have been rivets when new.
Glastron loved rivets ... LOL
