Well the final coat of paint is drying. Notice we reverted to white. The 'aluminum' color was a bit much, made ya start going a lil crosseyed if ya looked at it for too long. Got bout 8 coats of paint on it so it oughta hold up purty good. Plus it'll never rust ...
Tomorrow we start putting the motor back together. WooHoo!!!
Gonna be a real Frankenrude. Ported '78 140 block & crank w/milled '83 hi-comp heads, balanced rotating assy w/020 Wiseco pistons, '92 88 base & mid w/fastrac T&T, '86 90 gearcase, '83 1 5/16" carbs, reeds & stuffers, modded '78 bubble butt exhaust w/filler blocks, and '92 88 electronics. Try sayin that 5 times fast ...
Providing we put all the right parts back in all the right places, and break it in correctly. The only foreseeable problem is the possibility of needing to rejet the carbs. But if'n that's the case so be it. Cuz lemme tell ya the last thing I want is the sob runnin lean?
Stay tuned
